Dana White has cooled growing excitement around Conor McGregor’s return with a blunt reality check.

Dana White plays down Conor McGregor July return

Speaking after UFC Seattle, White addressed the mounting speculation regarding ‘The Notorious’.

He said: “Possibly [McGregor will fight in July]. Nothing is done. Nothing is even remotely close to being done.”

A July card during International Fight Week has been widely discussed. However, White’s stance suggests those plans remain uncertain.

Since UFC’s deal with Paramount ended the pay-per-view revenue structure, contract talks with McGregor are not expected to be straightforward.

Max Holloway emerges as leading opponent option to face Conor McGregor
