Devils 2025 NHL Draft: Every pick from Saturday's rounds
Here are all of the Devils' picks from the 2025 NHL Draft in Los Angeles...
Round 2
No. 50 pick: C Conrad Fondrk
The Devils' first 2025 NHL Draft pick is the 18-year-old Boston University commit, who is from White Bear Lake, Minn., and has spent the past two years with the USA Hockey National Team Development Program. In 40 games with the U-18 National Team this past season, Fondrk totaled 27 points on 13 goals and 14 assists.
Elite Prospects: Fondrk is a skilled forward with an arsenal of passing skills, and plenty of moves. Equally skilled as a shooter, he's a precise one-time shooter, he’s a scoring threat from the top of the circle and just inside the slot, and consistently finds openings between defenders for chances. He also hooks pucks through opponents for chances, deceives before passing, and occasionally dangles through traffic.
Round 3
No. 63 pick: RW Ben Kevan
The 18-year-old Arizona State University commit is from Fairfield, Calif., and has spent the past two years with the United States Hockey League's Des Moines Buccaneers. In 110 games from 2023-25, Kevan totaled 100 points on 37 goals and 63 assists.
Elite Prospects: A speedster, Kevan burns defenders with non-stop crossovers and hands that match. He charges into space, only to cut back and find the trailer. If not, he works a give-and-go to burst through the defensive line. And he has a ton of flash, weaving through traffic, beating defenders, and pulling pucks through and around their feet before going to the net or creatively spinning a pass across the slot. Without the puck, Kevan’s speed is just as impactful. He chases down puck carriers to press them to the outside and steal possession. After passing, he skates his routes to create space for his teammates behind him and crashes the net for loose pucks.
No. 90 pick: C Mason Moe
The 18-year-old University of Minnesota commit is from Eden Prairie, Minn., and spent the past two seasons with the USHL's Madison Capitols. In 51 games for the 2024-25 season, Moe totaled 43 points on 17 goals and 26 assists.
Elite Prospects:Always doing something, Moe consistently creates space by skating his routes, battling in front of the net, and colliding with the defensive line. With a cerebral defensive game, he pressures opponents into turnovers, passes off, and then relocates for the return pass.
Round 4
No. 99 pick: G Trenton Bennett
The 19-year-old St. Lawrence University commit is from Kitchener, Ontario, and spent the bulk of the past season with the Central Canada Hockey League's Kemptville 73's. In 31 games, he went 13-15-2 and totaled 852 saves while allowing 82 goals.
Elite Prospects:Trenten Bennett is a monster in the crease. He’s listed at 6-foot-6, but some places have him listed as tall as 6-foot-8. Either way, he’s one of the biggest and most-imposing looking goalies in this draft, and it almost looks like he has to squat to get his entire frame into the net.
No. 114 pick: C Gustav Hillström
The 18-year-old from Sweden spent the most of the 2024-25 campaign with the Sweden-based J20 Nationell's Brynäs IF J20, totaling 38 points on 16 goals and 22 assists in 43 games.
Elite Prospects: Hillström profiles as a big-bodied forward who brings two-way value. He’s got a solid work rate on both sides of the puck, sprinting to cover lanes and using his reach to interrupt opponents in the defensive zone. There’s also an offensive dimension to Hillström’s game. He’s not a particularly dangerous shooter, but has a knack for timing his movements to the net front for rebounds and other opportunities.
Round 6
No. 161 pick: RW David Rozsíval
The 18-year-old from the Czech Republic totaled 37 points on 17 goals and 20 assists in 30 games during Bílí Tygři Liberec U20's 2024-25 season in Czechia U20.
Elite Prospects: Rozsíval is a hard-working puck-protecting winger with a knack for keeping the cycle going. He’s a reasonably good skater with solid first few steps and a tendency for weaving crossovers into his rush patterns, and he’s also able to control the puck at higher speeds. He’s a consistent threat on the forecheck, being able to pressure the puck-carrier but also choosing the right angles to take as F2 to maximize the odds of creating a turnover.
No. 178 pick: D Sigge Holmgren
The 18-year-old from Sweden totaled 16 points on six goals and 10 assists in 18 games for Sweden-based J18 Nationell's Brynäs IF J18.
