Fans split on Israel Adesanya’s chances against Joe Pyfer at UFC Seattle
There was a clear split in the votes between the UFC Seattle headliners in Bloody Elbow’s prediction poll.
Israel Adesanya, the former two-time middleweight champion, is set to return after more than a year away at the second of four Fight Nights scheduled between UFC 326 and UFC 327.
In Saturday’s main event at UFC Seattle, Adesanya will face Joe Pyfer. The veteran is looking to snap a three-fight losing streak, while the rising contender aims to extend his winning run to four.
And most fans think it’ll be ‘The Last Stylebender’ who gets his hand raised.
Fan poll favours Adesanya over Pyfer in UFC Seattle main event
Fans weighed in on the fight through a poll on TalkingPoints via Bloody Elbow, where they were asked to predict who would come out on top in Saturday’s main event.
Out of 348 fans who took part, 168 votes separated the former champion from the American prospect.
Just over 74 per cent of fans expect Adesanya to break his three-fight losing streak, while just under 26 per cent are backing Pyfer to keep Adesanya’s struggles going—a result that many believe could signal the end of his career.
The clear majority are predicting that ‘The Last Stylebender’ will get back in the win column for the first time since his knockout of Alex Pereira back in April 2023. It’s been a rough run since then, with defeats to Nassourdine Imavov, Dricus du Plessis, and Sean Strickland. Now, he’ll be looking to turn things around against Pyfer.
Who’s taking home the title at UFC 327, Jiri Prochazka or Carlos Ulberg?
With the light heavyweight belt up for grabs in Miami, fans are being asked to cast their votes on who will leave Kaseya Center as champion.
Alex Pereira stepped away from the division before his shot at a third UFC title, leaving Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg to battle for the vacant 205-pound crown at UFC 327.
Who are you picking to come out on top in the main event? Before Prochazka and Ulberg step into the cage, there’s another title fight on the card.
Joshua Van will put his flyweight belt on the line against Tatsuro Taira. Van claimed the title last December after an injury forced Alexandre Pantoja out of action.
The card also features some familiar faces returning to action. Dominick Reyes, Curtis Blaydes, Paulo Costa, Patricio Pitbull, and Tatiana Suarez are all set to appear in ‘The Magic City’.
