Following viral video, former Viking Adrian Peterson signs deal with boxing promoter
The second encounter between former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and a man he was seen brawling with in a viral video will take place in a sanctioned boxing match.
In a recent report from TMZ Sports, Celebrity Boxing promoter Damon Feldman announced he had signed Joe Castaneda to fight Adrian Peterson following their brawl at a poker event last month. In June, TMZ shared a video of Peterson at a poker game in Houston, Texas, getting into an altercation. Peterson can be seen on video attempting to get physical with Castaneda, who was in the poker game with him.
The issue reportedly stems from a hand in the game.
At the time, Peterson commented to TMZ Sports, saying, "Me and the guy, we're cool, we've known each other. It was literally like a brother situation. We agreed to disagree, we had our words, and we threw blows -- and that was it."
Feldman did point out to TMZ that Peterson has yet to sign the deal but he expects him to very soon. Until he does, this bout remains a dream for Castaneda as he looks to close this chapter with the former All-Pro running back.
