Former Georgia QB Carson Beck trolled by SEC rival coach

Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck was arguably the biggest transfer portal entry in 2025. Regardless of how Carson Beck performs with Miami, though, the saga between Beck, Georgia, and Miami was extremely high-profile.

Beck is expected to make over $4.3 million from name, image, and likeness deals at Miami. That's the third most out of any collegiate athlete in any sport, outside of Duke's Cooper Flagg and Texas' Arch Manning. Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin used it as the perfect opportunity to roast Beck. When he guest starred on "The Pivot" podcast with Fred Taylor, Channing Crowder, and Ryan Clark, he commented about Beck.

"Miami gave him $4.3 million dollars? Did they watch his game against us?" said Kiffin.

"I don't ever get mad at the kids, it's not their fault. The system's going to…go get it. It's free market with no cap and in some areas unlimited boosters. Guy, just go on the yacht and they'll give you the money," added Kiffin.

Kiffin's Ole Miss Rebels beat Georgia 28-10, and Beck played poorly, with just 186 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception on 31 attempts. He was sacked five times as well, the highest amount of times he's ever been sacked.

Regardless, Beck will be looking to prove the doubters wrong with the Miami Hurricanes. He threw 3,485 yards, 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last year, but he has big shoes to fill, replacing Heisman candidate and potential No. 1 pick Cam Ward.
