Former Ravens OC Todd Monken hired as Browns head coach

Todd Monken and the Ravens have parting ways, but the veteran offensive coordinator won't be far away after accepting the Cleveland Browns head coaching job. One potential team could be the Browns, who interviewed Monken last Saturday morning and now have requested the longtime offensive coach to interview again in person, along with Jim Schwartz. Monken has previously interviewed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offensive coordinator position and is a favorite to join John Harbaugh as the New York Giants' offensive coordinator.

The Ravens finished the 2025 season 8-9 after starting 1-5, and Monken's inability to get Lamar Jackson to the next level, along with a stretch without utilizing Derrick Henry, was the final nail in the coffin. Henry had over 1,500 total yards despite Monken inexplicably sitting the running back in critical stretches in several disappointing losses this season.
