Gardner hockey notches big win and more: Vote for Athlete of the Week

Last week, readers voted Bryce Fleming of Monty Tech boys basketball the Athlete of the Week.
Fleming earned 30.58% of the poll. He earned his spot in the vote for his 17-point game against Main South on Jan. 12.
Check out the latest top performers for Gardner-area teams and vote for who you think should be named The Gardner News Athlete of the Week, Jan. 19-24.

Allen scored twice to help Oakmont defeat Monty Tech 5-1 on Jan. 21.
Addison Brooks, Monty Tech girls basketball
Brooks totaled 12 points in a game against Worcester Tech on Jan. 21.
Michael Caliri, Gardner boys swimming
Caliri was a double winner in the 50 and 100 freestyles at Gardner's meet against Nashoba on Jan. 24. The Wildcats won 71-66.
Alli Fitzsimmons, Gardner girls basketball
Fitzsimmons had 15 points in the Wildcats' win over Murdock on Jan. 21.
Kendall Gamache, Gardner girls basketball
The freshman scored 10 points to help Gardner defeat Murdock 48-27 on Jan. 21.
Justin Hawke, Gardner boys hockey
Hawke scored two goals and added five assists in the Wildcats' big 10-0 win over Leominster on Jan. 21.
Aiden LaPointe, Gardner boys hockey
LaPointe had two goals and four assists in Gardner's second win of the season against Leominster on Jan. 21.
Dimitri Lyles Jr., Narragansett boys basketball
Lyles Jr. tallied 23 points in Narragansett's 61-54 win against Tahanto on Jan. 21. Earlier in the week, he had 14 points against David Prouty on Jan. 19.
Olivia Martin, Oakmont girls basketball
Martin scored a game-high 21 points to help Oakmont defeat Marlborough 49-30 on Jan. 20.
Owen Moury, Gardner boys swimming
Moury won the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley in Gardner's meet against Nashoba on Jan. 24.
Evan Quigley, Oakmont boys basketball
Quigley scored a game-high 15 points in a 53-48 win against Westborough on Jan. 23.
Alex Smith, Oakmont boys hockey
Smith tallied two goals in Oakmont's 5-1 victory over Monty Tech on Jan. 21.
