Gimme Him: Dalton Kincaid would fill multiple needs for Patriots

The New England Patriots are set to take on the Buffalo Bills in a game that should feature a ton of offense. For this week’s Gimme Him, playmaking tight end Dalton Kincaid would be my choice for the Patriots.

Kincaid is part of a dynamic tight end duo alongside Dawson Knox. He has 33 catches for 489 yards and five touchdowns on the season. He is averaging 14.8 yards per catch and has 24 first-down receptions on the year. This ties him for a three-way team lead, with Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman being the others.

Kincaid is coming off a game against the Cincinnati Bengals that saw him record five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown. The third-year tight end is an ascending talent who would have likely blown his rookie numbers of 73 catches for 673 yards out of the water if he played in every game this season.

Perhaps the biggest upside to Kincaid for the Patriots is the fact that he is 26 years old. Austin Hooper and Hunter Henry are both 31 years old. While age isn't an issue for their careers at this time, Kincaid would give the team a chance to build for the future at the tight end position.

Pairing him with second-year quarterback Drake Maye would be another way for the Patriots to torch opposing defenses. He would be a usable mismatch in Josh McDaniels' offense to wreck defensive game plans. The Patriots know all too well how dangerous Kindcaid can be considering he caught eight receptions for 108 yards on them in the Week 5 meeting between the two teams.

The defense will have its hands full in trying to ensure the sequel on Sunday isn't even worse.
