Is Jaylen Watson recruiting his former Chiefs teammate to the Rams again?
The Los Angeles Rams’ cornerback group is much-improved for 2026 thanks to the additions of Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie this offseason. Watson was signed as a free agent after his teammate in Kansas City, McDuffie, was acquired by the Rams in a blockbuster trade.
It’s a cool reunion for the former Chiefs teammates, but Watson seems to want another ex-Chiefs cornerback in L.A. with them.
After previously recruiting L’Jarius Sneed to the Rams in March, Watson appears to be back at it. Watson tweeted at Sneed on Tuesday after charges against Sneed were dismissed, seemingly trying to bring the former Chiefs and Titans corner to L.A.
Sneed responded to the post with a screenshot from a Gruber Law Offices ad that reads, “One call, that’s all.”

It's hard to know if Watson's post was in response to Sneed's charges being dismissed or if it was a recruitment – or perhaps both. But it's clear he wants his former teammate with him and McDuffie in Los Angeles, recreating the dominant secondary from their time with the Chiefs.
Sneed is a free agent who can sign at any time, so if the Rams want him, one call might be all it takes.
