It sure sounds like a TNA invasion of NXT is coming

During this week’s episode of NXT, the big “Homecoming” special featuring many stars from the past making appearances, a story developed throughout the evening. There were repeated references, many disrespectful, to TNA and the stars of that brand are no longer taking it lying down.

We were getting tweets like this throughout the night:

Which, sure, but then you also got this from someone who was featured in the opening package:

And then you get this, and it seems pretty obvious that something is brewing:

Invasion time?

They seem to be outright hinting at it possibly happening next week, where it’s been announced that NXT Champion Oba Femi will take on TNA Champion Trick Williams in a winner take all match:

The partnership between NXT and TNA has indeed been incredibly one-sided, with the WWE contracted talent coming out ahead far more often than not. An invasion likely wouldn’t go much differently, but at the very least it could cast TNA and its talent in a much better light.

I guess we’ll find out next week.
