The Phoenix Suns struggled in the past few seasons, even though they had Kevin Durant and Devin Booker on the same team. They even had Bradley Beal, who was also an All-Star-level player. Nowadays, they have Booker as the sole All-Star, but they do have a promising Jalen Green on the roster.

Green has not been available for a large chunk of the 2025-26 season. This meant that Booker has been the solitary star, but Dillon Brooks has had a breakout season. Now that Green has returned, he is enjoying his time playing alongside Booker in the same backcourt.

Green knows playing alongside Booker helps the Suns

Green was always a promising player, as evidenced by getting selected second overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. He was clashing with Cade Cunningham ahead of the Draft, and the Detroit Pistons guard is now an MVP candidate.

Of course, Green has not reached that level yet, but he does have the talent to be a world-beater. Unfortunately, he has not been the most productive player during his time with the Houston Rockets. Now that he is with the Suns, he could be one of the team's stars alongside Booker.

Now that he is playing more regularly for the Suns, Green understands the role he is playing. He is the co-star of Booker, but most of the time, he benefits from the superstar attention that Booker gets. This can lead to Green having better performances, which he is well aware of.

"With Book out there, a lot of attention is going to be on Book. A lot of opportunities out there. Once they adjust and everyone gets going, it's pretty hard to stop... They have to make a decision each night. It's not just a 1-2 punch. It's everybody coming in," Green said to Arizona Central's Duane Rankin about the dynamic with Booker.

Moving forward, the Suns have a good core with Booker, Green, and Brooks. They need to get healthier because the Suns continue to struggle with all the injuries this season. If they can get healthy, they could be a problem for the rest of the Western Conference's Playoff teams.
