Jayden Daniels comments on Drake Maye, Caleb Williams making playoffs
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was asked about Drake Maye and Caleb Williams making it to the playoffs for the first time in their NFL careers.
Daniels knows that feeling after helping the Commanders advance to the NFC Championship Game last year as a rookie. However, his second year was derailed due to injuries and the team as a whole failing to live up to expectations.
That still hasn't ruined Daniels' excitement for seeing Maye and Williams represent the 2024 NFL Draft class in the postseason.
“I mean, I think that says a lot about our class. Those guys put in the work, they deserve everything they got and what’s to come," Daniels told reporters. "I’m super excited to see what they do in the playoffs. Pretty sure they felt the same way for me last year. So it’ll be fun to sit there and watch them. I think that kinda just tells like we’ve got a bad ass class of quarterbacks.”

Maye and the Patriots are set to face the Los Angeles Chargers in the wild-card round, while Williams and the Bears will take on the Green Bay Packers. Both quarterbacks deserve much of the credit for turning their respective teams around in Year 2.
But can they take things a step further and win a playoff game? All eyes will be on the NFL's wild-card weekend to find out.
