Jonathan Smith previews Spartans, talks improvements during Big Ten Football Media Days

Michigan State football was on hand for day three of Big Ten Media Days on Thursday afternoon in Sin City.

Spartans head coach Jonathan Smith and a trio of players were in attendance to preview the upcoming Michigan State season in Las Vegas. This was the third and final day of the event, with all 18 schools being represented across the three day event.

Michigan State comes into this season off a 5-7 record in the first season under Smith. The Spartans got off to a 3-0 start in 2024 but struggled down the stretch, failing to reach bowl eligibility for a third straight season. Michigan State was picked to finish No. 13 in the annual Cleveland.com preseason media poll for this upcoming season.

Smith gave his opening address during the press conference and fielded a few questions from the media at the podium. One of the more notable comments from Smith was his high expectations for the offensive line to be improved this upcoming season.
