Kalshi reveals $1 billion prize for March Madness perfect bracket

College basketball fans can compete to win a $1 billion prize during March Madness if they can put together an unprecedented perfect bracket.

Warren Buffet and Quicken Loans offered a $1 million prize for years during the NCAA Tournament. However, a different company has upped the ante in 2026 ahead of the men’s March Madness commencing.

Kalshi is offering a monster $1 billion perfect bracket challenge this month as 2026 March Madness starts. Top seeds Duke, Florida, Arizona and Michigan will likely be popular Final Four picks after earning top seeds in the NCAA Tournament.

Meanwhile, Kalshi promises to give out $1 million to the contestant that has the most correct picks as well as an additional $1 million to two charities.

College basketball fans may want to proceed with caution though when filling out their brackets. The chances of completing the ultra rare feat is roughly 1 in 9.2 quintillion.

March Madness presents 63 games once the first round begins, plus an additional four games during the Play-In Round. However, a $1 million prize for the best overall bracket certainly isn’t anything to push aside for taking a few minutes to fill one out.

The NCAA Tournament begins Tuesday with the Play-In Round, however, the Kalshi bracket challenge won’t officially start until Thursday, March 19.

Last season’s national champions Florida are back in a solid position to repeat as winners just two years after Connecticut won back-to-back titles under head coach Dan Hurley. All 69 teams will be competing for a chance to appear in the Final Four this season in Indianapolis.

The NFL home of the Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium, will play host to the March Madness semifinals and finals.
