Kentucky high school soccer district, regional pairings and schedule for Louisville area

Kentucky’s high school soccer postseason will kick off this weekend with district tournament and super-regional play.
In the Louisville area, the Sixth Region has adopted a super-regional format in which district tournaments are no longer played. The Seventh and Eighth Regions have kept the traditional district and regional formats.
On the boys side, Butler — ranked No. 12 in the state by RundellRankings.com — headlines the Sixth Region Tournament and will host the North Bullitt-Southern winner at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
No. 2 Trinity will face the Seneca-Waggener winner at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in a 27th District semifinal at Waggener. No. 3 St. Xavier and No. 4 Collegiate are both in the 26th District and are favored to meet in the district final at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. X.
No. 10 North Oldham will host the 29th District Tournament and face the Oldham County-South Oldham winner in Thursday’s 8 p.m. final.
On the girls side, Bullitt East will seek its third straight Sixth Region title and will host Jeffersontown at 7:30 p.m. Monday in a first-round game.
Sacred Heart, the defending state champion and ranked No. 1 in the state coaches poll, will face the Seneca-Waggener winner at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in a 27th District semifinal at Waggener.
No. 10 South Oldham, the defending Eighth Region champion, will face the Oldham County-North Oldham winner at 6 p.m. Thursday in the 29th District final at North Oldham.
