Maple Leafs Fans' Behavior Toward Brad Marchand Sparks Reactions
Florida Panthers winger Brad Marchand has made a career out of playing the villain against the Toronto Maple Leafs. On Wednesday night, he added another moment to his highlight reel.
As the Panthers closed out a dominant 6-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 5, cameras spotted Marchand smiling at jeering fans while leaving the ice.
The veteran, who finished with an assist in what was his fifth point in the series, appeared unfazed by the taunts coming from the Scotiabank Arena fans near the tunnel.
The win gave Florida its third straight victory in the series and pushed the Maple Leafs to the brink of elimination as they face a 3-2 deficit entering Game 6.

Wednesday's win also improved Marchand’s career playoff record against Toronto to a perfect 5-0, dating back to his years with the Boston Bruins.
Toronto’s home fans voiced their frustration early and often during the embarrassing Game 5 loss.
Boos rang out by the second period, at least one jersey was thrown on the ice, and many fans exited well before the final buzzer.
The clip of Marchand's reaction to the Leafs fans generated more than 100 replies after being posted by Bleacher Report's "B/R Open Ice" account on X.

"No chance that guy paid for his ticket," another said.
"Yeah I’m gonna take the hockey player here 😂" one poster wrote.
