Mohamed Salah says Aston Villa are lucky to have Harvey Elliott

Aston Villa completed a transfer deadline day deal for England youth international attacker Harvey Elliott, signing the 22-year-old on an initial season-long loan from Liverpool with an obligation to buy. Villa manager Unai Emery is glad to bring such a talented player to the Villa Park club having attempted to bolster his attack all summer. Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has finally reacted to Elliott switching Merseyside for the Midlands club, and he has a message for the Villans.

Elliott was unable to establish himself as a regular at Liverpool, and arrival of Swedish striker Alexander Isak on deadline left him with no choice. He will not be walking straight into the Villa starting line-up, but he will fancy his chances of playing regularly going forward given his huge potential. The youngster was named Player of the Tournament at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in June after scoring five goals to help England win the competition.
