MSU football to host rising in-state OL prospect in April

An in-state offensive lineman that is picking up steam on the recruiting trail will reportedly visit Michigan State in early April.

Michigan State will reportedly host Braden Chaffin of Detroit for an unofficial spring visit in early April. According to 247Sports recruiting insider Corey Robinson, Chaffin will visit Michigan State on April 4.

Chaffin is currently an unranked and unrated offensive lineman prospect in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. Chaffin is listed at 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds, and plays for Livonia Stevenson High.

Michigan State has not yet offered Chaffin, but that could change following his upcoming spring visit. He does, however, hold offers from Marshall, Central Michigan, Kent State, Miami (OH) and Western Michigan.
