When UFC doesn’t want you and Jake Paul already beat you … where do you go?

The answer is “Rousey vs. Carano” on May 16 at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, the MMA fight card that is starting to feel like the old Affliction events that were based around UFC stars with residual name value.

UFC veterans Nate Diaz and Mike Perry will collide for the MVP-promoted lineup on Netflix. Diaz, who turns 41 in just a few weeks, has not competed since defeating Jorge Masvidal in a fight that nobody watched. As for Perry, 34, he’s fresh off a technical knockout victory over Jeremy Stephens at BKFC 82.

In addition to the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano headliner, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will return to MMA in a battle against ex-UFC bruiser Philipe Lins. More fights are expected to be added to the May 16 lineup over the next few days.

Stay tuned.
