Nebraska baseball ranked No. 24 in latest rankings
The Nebraska Cornhuskers were ranked No. 24 in the D1 Baseball Poll released on Monday afternoon.
The Huskers are coming off another strong weekend on the diamond. The team won a series at Michigan. They lost the first game by a 2-1margin before shutting out the Wolverines by a 10-0 score on Saturday. They then finished the series with a 9-5 win on Sunday. Sunday's game included a five-run ninth inning.
With the series victory, Nebraska now sits forth in the Big Ten Conference. They sit just behind USC, with Oregon and UCLA leading the conference.
Up next for the Huskers is a road trip to Kansas State. It is a single-game matchup this Tuesday, March 24. The team currently sits at 18-6. This includes a 5-1 record in Big Ten play. They are playing at a high level and starting to get noticed nationally.
