Neemias Queta was in a league of his own on Sunday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Boston Celtics center from Portugal dominated the game, finishing with 27 points and 17 rebounds in what Jaylen Brown called the best game of Queta's career.
Queta also added three blocks and didn't commit a turnover in 27 minutes. He was 10-for-14 from the floor.
Brown (27 points) and Derrick White (21 points) were Boston's other top scorers, while Nikola Jokic snagged 12 boards off the bench in 21 minutes.
Brown also added eight rebounds and eight assists, continuing his stellar all-around season.
The Celtics are now 40-20 on the season. They are winners of five of their last six and 10 of their last 12.
But the story of the night was Queta, whose 17 rebounds included an impressive 10 offensive boards. Queta looked like he might have his hands full with big, physical centers on the Sixers in Andre Drummond and Adem Bona, but Neemias outworked both and looked like the best big guy on the floor by far.
Queta's transformation from a fourth-string center last season to a starting center and one of the most reliable bigs in the NBA has been stunning to witness.
