Neo Maema was on the scoresheet as Simba SC secured a 3-0 victory over Greenland FC in the CRDB Bank Federation Cup Round of 64 on Tuesday.
Baraka Mwangosi broke the deadlock in the 13th minute, before Anthony Mligo doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time, while the South African international put the game to bed in the 90th minute.
Maema has now scored two goals and laid a solitary assist in 11 matches across all competitions this season.
The 30-year-old signed for the Tanzanian giants on a season-long loan from Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns at the beginning of the season.
Meanwhile, Steve Barker's men will swing back to action with a visit to Tanzania Prisons in the NBC Tanzania Premier League on Sunday, 22 February.
Simba sit seventh with 19 points from eight league outings, and have eight games in hand over log leaders JKT Tanzania, due to their CAF Champions League commitments - where they crashed out in the group stages.
