North Carolina student interview summed up Bill Belichick's struggles
Bill Belichick's North Carolina struggles reached another low on Saturday after the Tar Heels got stomped by a reeling Clemson at home, 38-10.
At 2-3, Belichick's North Carolina hasn't shown it can be even remotely competitive in ACC play so far this season. Wins over Charlotte and Richmond were expected; blowout losses to TCU, UCF and Clemson were not.
ESPN broadcast an absolutely devastating interview with UNC student Anna Yi during the Clemson loss in which she compared the team's season-opening TCU defeat to one of the saddest feelings she's had in college so far.
"I've failed midterms before, so that's saying something," Yi said in the interview. OUCH.
ESPN shares an interview with a UNC student going into commercial, with Clemson leading 28-3.
"TCU was... I went to that game. And that was, that was one of the saddest feelings I've had in University so far. I've failed midterms before, so that's saying something." 🏈💀 #CFBpic.twitter.com/RekRjA0cAx— Awful Announcing (@awfulannouncing) October 4, 2025
That's absolutely awful to hear if you're a North Carolina fan. Belichick's start... has not gone well, to say the least.
When does UNC play again?
The team faces California on the road on Friday, Oct. 17.
