Packers dealing with at least 4 notable injuries coming out of Week 3 loss

The Green Bay Packers could have at least four notable injuries to navigate coming out of Sunday's Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Right tackle Zach Tom exited the game after re-injuring his oblique muscle while taking on Myles Garrett during the offense's first play from scrimmage. He didn't return, and coach Matt LaFleur did not sound pleased that Tom aggravated a pre-existing injury after just one snap.

"We can't allow that to happen," LaFleur said.

Late in the first half, left guard Aaron Banks injured his groin. Like Tom, he did not return. One of the team's big free-agent signings, Banks injured his ankle in Week 1, missed Week 2 and is now in danger of missing more games early in the 2025 season.

Without Tom and Banks, the Packers used Jordan Morgan (who committed three penalties) at left guard and Anthony Belton at right tackle. The offensive line struggled for most of the afternoon against Garrett and a dominant Browns defensive line.

It's possible Tom and Banks won't be able to return until after the Packers' Week 5 bye.

The Packers defense took a few hits later in the game Sunday.

Versatile defensive back Javon Bullard was involved in a scary-looking collision with Quay Walker in the fourth quarter and may end up in the league's concussion protocol to start next week. Also, sideline analyst John Kuhn of the Packers Radio Network said defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt -- who has been excellent as a pass-rusher to start 2025 -- injured his knee in the fourth quarter. Wyatt's injury will be one to monitor because he's the team's most important interior defender up front.

The Packers are already without receiver Jayden Reed, who was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, and receiver Christian Watson, who is on the PUP list to start the 2025 season.

Coach Matt LaFleur may be able to provide additional information on new injuries as soon as Monday, but the Packers won't put out an injury report for Week 4 until Wednesday of next week. LaFleur's team goes to Dallas to play the Cowboys next Sunday night at AT&T Stadium.

The Cowboys have their own injury concerns to deal with entering Week 4: receiver CeeDee Lamb hurt his ankle on Sunday in Chicago, attempted to return for one play but then missed the rest of the contest. And cornerback Trevon Diggs and defensive tackle Kenny Clark both left with injuries in the should half.
