Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson ties NFL record with Week 15 effort
New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson has been having an incredible rookie season in the NFL, and now, he has already etched himself into the record books at the professional level.
Henderson, who has recorded 773 yards and seven touchdowns through his first 14 games at the NFL level, had a career game on Sunday in a loss against the Buffalo Bills. The former Ohio State standout rushed for a career-high 148 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and those scores propelled Henderson into a tie for an NFL record.
That's because he scored on 52-yard and 65-yard rushes against the Bills, marking the second time this season that he scored two touchdowns on rushes of 50 or more yards – the first came in a 28-23 win over the Buccaneers, where he scored touchdowns of 55 yards and 69 yards. This is significant as it ties the NFL record for most games with multiple rushing touchdowns of 50 or more yards.
Most games with multiple 50+ yard TD runs in NFL history:
TreVeyon Henderson - 2 (14 career games)
Saquon Barkley - 2 (104)
Chris Johnson - 2 (130) pic.twitter.com/D75NfXgSIz— Underdog NFL (@UnderdogNFL) December 15, 2025
With the performance, he joins Saquon Barkley and Chris Johnson as the only running backs in NFL history to achieve the feat twice. What is remarkable is that Henderson achieved it so early in his career, needing less than a full season to reach a rarely achieved milestone.
Henderson has been a critical piece to the Patriots returning as a top contender in the AFC this season, earning ten or more carries eight times so far this season as the Patriots have begun their season with an 11-3 record and sit in first place in the AFC East with just three weeks left in the season.
