The Winter Olympics will be in Milan-Cortina, Italy in 2026. Every country hopes to have a star athlete from it with a chance to capture gold. In alpine skiiing, Italy will look to Sofia Goggia. She competes in every discipline but her specialties are the super-G and downhill. Goggia has a gold and silver in Olympic competition. She has won 27 World Cup races, 19 downhill. When the gate springs for the Winter Olympics alpine skiiing events, expect there to be plenty of cheering as Italy hopes Goggia will thrill the crowd.
