RAF07 set for Tampa with Bo Nickal vs. Vladimer Khinchegashvili
Bo Nickal will return to the mats for Real American Freestyle in March.
The promotion Thursday announced RAF07 for March 28 at Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla. Nickal, who holds the promotion's light heavyweight title, will defend the belt against standout wrestler Vladimer Khinchegashvili in the main event.
Nickal was set to wrestle Yoel Romero at RAF05, but pulled out of the fight when Romero missed weight. He won the title at RAF01.
Also on the card, cruiserweight champion Kyle Dake will defend against 2024 NCAA champion Parker Keckeisen. And women's middleweight champ Kennedy Blades takes on Milana Dudieva, who makes her promotional debut. And Kyle Snyder meets Bahrainian 2024 Olympic gold medalist Akhmed Tazhudinov.
"This event is a clear snapshot of where RAF is right now," RAF CEO Chad Bronstein said in a release. "You're seeing the sport's top athletes competing in matchups that simply weren't possible before. Bringing RAF07 to Tampa Bay lets us keep building momentum in a first-class arena while continuing to show what a true professional home for wrestling looks like."
RAF06 takes place Feb. 28. in Tempe, Ariz. That show is headlined by retired former UFC fighters Henry Cejudo and Urijah Faber. Plus, UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan takes on Georgio Poullas.
