Rams QB Matthew Stafford has chance to hit elite passing milestones against Ravens

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has a chance to put his name among some elite company this Sunday.

Los Angeles will travel to face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6, where Stafford has the chance to etch his name on a couple of different all-time passing lists with a strong enough performance. This season, Stafford is pacing the NFL with 1,503 passing yards and is second in the league with 11 touchdown passes. These are stats he boosted with impressive passing performances the past two weeks, throwing for 375 yards and three touchdowns in Week 4 and 389 yards and three touchdowns in Week 5.

If Stafford can hit 375-or-more passing yards and score at least three touchdowns through the air against the Ravens, he will earn the honor of being just the third pin NFL history to record at least 375 passing yards and three touchdown passes in three consecutive games – Tom Brady (2011 with New England) and Ryan Fitzpatrick (2018 with Tampa Bay) are the only other signal callers to ever reach the milestone.

Stafford also enters Sunday's showdown with the Ravens with 19 career games under his belt, where he's thrown for at least 375 yards. If he hits at least 375 passing yards this weekend, he'll be just the fifth NFL quarterback to hit that mark in 20 career games. Drew Brees (36 games), Tom Brady (29), Peyton Manning (22), Ben Roethlisberger (21), and the only others to ever achieve the milestone.
