Recap: OKC Blue shoot lights out in 135-129 win over Delaware Blue Coats

The G League's OKC Blue outlasted the Delaware Blue Coats in a 2K-esque outing with a 135-129 win on Friday. The road victory improved their record to 10-19 in the regular season.

The Blue got off to a hot start. Points came in a flurry. They had a 40-38 lead after the first quarter. While things cooled down after the break, OKC still put up buckets galore. It had 31 points in the second frame as it created some distance on the scoreboard. It entered halftime with a 71-65 advantage.

After the break, it was much of the same story. The Blue had firm control in this one against an opponent they rarely face off against. They had 34 points in the third quarter. That put them up 105-94 at that juncture of the game.

The final frame was interesting at times. But OKC was ahead the entire way. The closest it got was within a five-point game with 14 seconds to go. But there just wasn't enough time left over. The Blue had 30 points to cross the finish line in a game they led by double-digits for most of it.

The Blue shot 62% from the field and went 11-of-26 (42.3%) from 3. They shot 12-of-14 on free throws. They had 34 assists on 52 baskets. Eight Blue players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Blue Coats shot 44% from the field and went 15-of-35 (42.9%) from 3. They shot 20-of-21 on free throws. They had 31 assists on 41 baskets. Five Blue Coats players scored double-digit points.
