Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Husky football team is in the middle of winter conditioning but the coaching staff is busy working the recruiting trail for the 2027 class. With a big junior day coming up in March and official visits starting to get scheduled the Huskies are definitely honing in on some prospects. Today I wanted to take a look at some prospects who have set up official visits to Montlake:

The first big weekend for official visits appears to be May 29th. So far 3 prospects have scheduled official visits for that weekend. There are 2 running backs who should be up that weekend. 3 star running back Elijah Kimble from Canisius HS, NY is one of the top running backs in the country and a top Husky target who is set to be on campus. Kimble, who is rated as the 15th best running back in the country also has official visits scheduled to Indiana, Miami, and North Carolina. 3 star running Jeremy Adeyanju from Sandra Day O’Connor HS, AZ is another top target for the Huskies at running back. Rated as the 77th best running back in the country, Adeyanju is an underrated running back who has been offered by USC, Wisconsin, ASU, Iowa, and Michigan (just to name a few). The Huskies continue to push for some of the top talent in Arizona and Adeyanju looks like a hidden gem (247sports has him rated as the 77th best running back in the country). Speaking of Arizona recruits, the Huskies are also hosting 3 star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough from Basha HS, AZ as well that weekend. Yarborough is one of the top interior offensive lineman on the west coast in the 2027 class and the Huskies have positioned themselves well to try and reel him in. Rated as the 25th best interior offensive lineman, Yarborough has visits scheduled to UW and Cal as of now, but that list will likely grow.

Here are some of Kimble’s and Adeyanju highlights:

The weekend of June 19th appears to be the other big visit weekend for the Huskies (it should be the last weekend prospect can officially visit campus). So far 5 prospects have announced that they will be taking an official visit to UW that weekend. The headliner so far is 4 star wide receiver Tre Moore from Pflugerville Weiss HS, TX. Moore, who is rated as the 24th best wide receiver in the country, is one of the top targets for the Huskies at wideout (they already have 2 wideouts in the class but they will add more). Moore also has an official visit to Miami scheduled. 3 star safety Malaki Taufoou from Junipero Serra HS, CA is another top target that is set to visit Montlake on the 19th of June. Taufoou, who is rated as the 31st best safety in the country by 247sports, is a bigger safety who the Huskies have been after for a while (he has official visits also scheduled to Penn State and Cal. There is another prospect that will be in town from Junipero Serra HS. 3 star athlete Jeovanni Henley is another hidden gem prospect whose offer list is better than his rankings (he is set to visit UCLA, and Cal along with UW).

Here are some of Tre Moore’s highlights:

Along the offensive line the Huskies will be hosting another of their top interior offensive line targets. 3 star interior offensive lineman Reis Russell from Valor Christian HS, CO will also be up on Montlake for an official visit. Russell, who has seen a wave of offers come in lately from schools like Oregon, and Georgia, is rated by 247sports as the 43rd best interior offensive lineman in the country. The Huskies would love to add Russell to their 2027 class but they will have to battle several recruiting powers to reel him in. The last prospect who has announced he will be in town is 3 star defensive back Maurice Williams from Graham-Kapowsin HS, WA. Williams is currently committed to UW and will likely be playing the role of recruiter for the Huskies.

That is all for today and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
