Royals Fans React to Sunday’s Historic HR Barrage
On Star Wars Day Sunday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, balls were being sent to a galaxy far, far away as the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles were blasting homers into hyperspace left and right.
Fans were starry eyed as the Royals and Orioles combined for 17 runs and tied a Major League Baseball record for most solo home runs in one game.

"It was looking like the Homerun Derby out in Baltimore," one user wrote.
"Unbelievable hitting performance in Baltimore today! 11 home runs have been hit. A lot of excitement at the yard," another added.
Kansas City set a new franchise record for home runs in a game, nuking seven in its 11-6 rout of the Orioles. For Royals fans, the clouds have seemingly parted - at least temporarily - after a slow offensive start to the season.
"If the offense can stay half as good as today with the pitching staff as good as it is, the Royals will be in the playoffs for sure," one user theorized.
"The #Royals are now on pace for 88 wins. Life comes at you fast," another pointed out.
In an incredibly rough start, the Royals had hit only 15 homers, ranking last in the majors. In the past two games, however, Kansas City has switched up the narrative and have hit 10 over the wall, increasing their home run total by 66.7%.
In fact, until today, they hadn't hit seven homers in any given week, but they end a six-game (5-1) road trip with a bang as six Royals hit tallied 7 solo homeruns to secure the series win and use the Force to send the Orioles packing.
The Royals (19-16) will return home to Kauffman Stadium to begin a homestand against the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox.
