Seahawks address secondary in latest Fox Sports 2026 NFL mock draft

One of the strengths of the Seattle Seahawks is their secondary, but depending on how free agency plays out, a strength could be quickly turned into a point of need. Cornerbacks Riq Woolen and Josh Jobe are both unrestricted free agents, and it seems as if Woolen's time in Seattle may be coming to an end.

It's with this in mind why the latest 2026 NFL mock draft from FOX Sports has the Seahawks selecting a cornerback at pick No. 32 overall. According to FOX Sports analyst and former NFL guard Geoff Schwartz, Seattle will take South Carolina cornerback Brandon Cisse with the final pick of the first round. Schwartz explicitly mentioned the Seahawks' potential pressing need at defensive back for the reason why he mocked Cisse to them.

Cisse spent two years at NC State before transferring to South Carolina for his junior season. In his collegiate career, Cisse recorded 65 total tackles, defended ten passes and snagged two interceptions. His official NFL draft profile highlights his athleticism, his versatility for any scheme, and his "A-rating" at run support. To me, that sure sounds like a Mike Macdonald Seahawks cornerback.

Although Cisse was not teammates with fellow Gamecock standout Nick Emmanwori, it's clear the Seahawks have a connection with South Carolina. If Cisse is someone they want, they have more than enough connections to learn all about this young man.
