Texans record tenth consecutive win, advance to AFC Divisional Round

The Houston Texans may be the hottest team in the NFL, and they're now one win away from their first-ever AFC Championship Game appearance.

The Texans won their tenth consecutive game on Monday night as they routed the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Wild Card Round – Houston's last loss came over two full months ago on November 2 in an 18-15 defeat at the hands of the Denver Broncos, who are the No. 1 seed in the AFC Playoffs. After starting the season 0-3, the Texans have gone 13-2 since the last week of September.

The Texans were dominant in all facets of the game on Monday night. Their defense was the most impressive aspect of the performance, as they held the Steelers without a touchdown for the entire game, allowed just 175 total offensive yards and 3.1 yards per play by the Pittsburgh offense, and forced two turnovers, both returned for touchdowns. They also held the Steelers to 2-of-14 on third-down attempts.

Offensively, CJ Stroud went 21-of-32 passing for 250 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, with wide receiver Christian Kirk his primary target with eight receptions for 144 yards and the lone touchdown reception. Jo'quavious "Woody" Marks led the Texans on the ground with 19 carries for 119 yards and one touchdown, while Nick Chubb added 10 carries for 48 yards.

The Texans will advance to the AFC Divisional Round next weekend, where they will square off against the No. 2 seed, the New England Patriots.
