Texas vs. BYU final score, results: Texas survives BYU and AJ Dybarta
The Texas Longhorns have advanced yet again, defeating BYU in Portland 79-71. Despite a strong performance from BYU freshman AJ Dybarta, it wasn't enough for the team to secure a victory against Sean Miller and the Texas offensive unit.
BYU entered the tournament with high expectations, but even with Dybarta's efforts, they fell short. Texas excelled in ball movement, recording 18 assists compared to BYU's merely 4. On the boards, Texas dominated with 40 rebounds to BYU's 31. Although Texas had 9 turnovers, none were critically detrimental to their performance.
The Longhorns are shaping up to be a solid tournament team as they await their next opponents, Gonzaga or Kennesaw State.
Their tip-off is scheduled for 9:24 CT PM in Portland.

Sure feels like the first five minutes of this second half will determine if BYU’s season will continue or they’ll be one-and-done.
Defend with some semblance of heart/pride, clean up on the glass & keep generating high-percentage looks on offense
