Undercover Oklahoma fan bizarrely gave John Mateer's surgeon a gift
An Oklahoma fan went to some bizarre lengths to give quarterback John Mateer's orthopedic surgeon a gift this week.
As disorienting as it is to read that sentence, this scenario apparently happened as Sooners fan Carson Grane shared a video on social media of him going undercover to the Cedars-Sinai Orthopedics center in Los Angeles where Mateer was getting hand surgery.
The Heisman candidate needed surgery and will miss time after injuring his right hand against Auburn on Saturday. Grane must have really wanted the surgery to go well, so he went to the hospital to give the surgeon an Oklahoma pennant under the guise of wanting to support "his friend John."
While we get fandom runs deep... the surgeon was probably deeply confused as to why this happened. We know it didn't impact the surgery in any way... so... yeah. Not sure what the goal is here!

We guess this guy now has a heck of a story to tell his fellow Oklahoma fans now, at least?
