Underwear Olympics: previewing Avieon Terrell ahead of combine
The NFL combine is in just a couple of weeks, and nine ClemsonTigers are looking to increase their draft stock. In this series, we're going to dive into each player and break down exactly what they'll need to do in Indy to separate themselves and solidify their draft value.
Avieon Terrell is an undersized 21-year-old corner with a full three years of experience as a starter. As a First Team All-ACC member and Jim Thorpe finalist his junior year, Terrell entered the draft as one of this year's premier defensive players.
How He Could Rise
Athletic testing. Terrel is projected to run in the high 4.3's-low 4.4's. As ridiculously simplistic as it sounds, seeing him perform the former would go a long way toward cementing Terrell as a top-20 pick. Additionally, testing well in agility drills goes a long way.

How He Could Fall
His size. Avieon's 180-pound frame is currently in the 8th percentile. If he weighs in any less, it's doubtful that a team uses their first selection on a corner. We've seen it before, with players like Emmanuel Forbes (though not the best example), but we've seen undersized blue-chip corners plummet down teams' draft boards much more often.
Clemson CB Avieon Terrell could be one of the STEALS of the NFL Draft.
