Vikings announce tragic death of six-time NFL Pro Bowler

Joey Browner, who made six NFL Pro Bowls in his 10 seasons in the league, died March 28 according to an announcement by the Minnesota Vikings. He was 65.

“The Vikings are mourning the loss of Ring of Honor Safety Joey Browner,” the team said in a post on X. “Browner, a 6-time Pro Bowler and 4-time 1st Team All-Pro, was named to the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team and a part of the 50 Greatest Vikings announced in 2010.”

Browner played the first nine of his 10 NFL seasons with the Vikings before ending his career in 1992 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
