Wednesday Headlines: Tennessee Tech and Maryland Gameday

Good morning, BBN!

The Cats are back in action tonight as they take on Tennessee Tech at Rupp Arena at 7:00 PM ET. You can watch them on ESPN.

Kentucky is coming off a big win over Loyola MD on Friday, and this will be its only game this week with Thanksgiving tomorrow.

All of these games are nice to have to build that team chemistry and work on plays, but everyone is looking ahead to next Tuesday’s matchup against No. 16 UNC.

By losing to Michigan State in terrible fashion after losing to Louisville the way they did, this team needs to prove that it belongs on the national stage.

Another big loss would more than likely result in them falling out of the top 25, along with BBN calling for Mark Pope’s job. I don’t agree with being that extreme, but that’s just the reality of this fanbase.

With that said, you still have to win tonight. Head into Thanksgiving with a W!

The Women’s Basketball team is also in action tonight as they begin the Discover Puerto Rico Tournament.

They will take on Maryland at 5:30 PM ET at Coliseo Guillermo Angulo Carolina in San Juan, Puerto Rico. You can watch them on FLO Sports.

It’s been an amazing start to the season for the Women. 7-0 with their last win coming against rival Louisville, something the Men couldn’t do.

UK will also play on Friday in Puerto Rico against Morgan State.

A lot of basketball during Thanksgiving break!
