Where Alabama ranks in final AP Poll Top 25 following Elite Eight NCAA Tournament run
Following the national championship game Monday night, the final 2024-25 men's college basketball AP Poll Top 25 was released Tuesday afternoon, which revealed just where the Alabama Crimson Tide are ranked following their run in the NCAA Tournament.
In the final update of the season, Alabama rose one spot from their previous ranking before March Madness, sitting at No. 6 nationally to conclude the year. This move is similar to what happened to the Crimson Tide in the final USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, which was also released Tuesday.
A No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Crimson Tide went on to make the program's second consecutive Elite Eight appearance, picking up wins over Robert Morris, Saint Mary's, and BYU along the way. Alabama however saw their season come to an end with an 85-65 loss to No. 1 seed Duke in the Elite Eight, falling just one win short of their second consecutive Final Four appearance.
The Crimson Tide's 2024-25 season officially ended with a 28-9 overall record, as well as a fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
