Where does LSU football's recruiting class rank after 247Sports' update?

247Sports released updated recruiting rankings this week. As a result, LSU football commit Lamar Brown is now the No. 1-ranked recruit in the nation. Brown committed to LSU in July, picking the Tigers over SEC rivals Texas A&M and Texas.

Brown is the headlining piece of an LSU class that expects to finish top-five nationally. At one point, LSU was in contention for the No. 1-ranked class in the country, but after losing a couple of blue-chip prospects, LSU appears to be out of that discussion.

LSU's 2026 class holds 16 commitments. Per 247Sports, Brown is the lone five-star while the Tigers have pledges from 13 four-star recruits.

After 247Sports' update, LSU football's class ranks No. 11 nationally. The Tigers are just behind Michigan at No. 10 and in front of Miami at No. 11.

The top class belongs to USC while the SEC's top class belongs to Georgia, which ranks No. 2 nationally.
