It is time for fans to decide who should be the Chillicothe Gazette male athlete of the year.
Cutting down the number of male athletes from the Gazette coverage area was not easy. There are a lot of deserving athletes out there. Our coverage area includes the Scioto Valley Conference teams, Chillicothe in the Frontier Athletic Conference and Waverly in the Southern Ohio Conference.
Each of the young men on the list was a player of the year of some type, or in the case of track athletes, they qualified for state and were all-Ohioans.
This is from the entire school year calendar of sports, so you have golf, tennis, baseball, volleyball, wrestling, football, basketball, soccer, cross country and track.
And unlike other polls, you won't be able to see the results until the poll is over, so get your votes in.
Next week, we will have a poll for the team of the year.
Voting ends at 12:01 a.m. Friday.
