Will Quinshon Judkins play vs. the Ravens in Week 2? Latest updates, status of Browns RB

Cleveland is in Baltimore to face the Ravens at 1:00 p.m., and prized rookie running back Quinshon Judkins is available to make his debut.

Judkins met with the NFL on Sept. 10 as part of its disciplinary investigation, according to Chris Easterling of the Beacon Journal. The Browns' second second-round pick, No. 36 overall in April's draft, Judkins signed his rookie contract on Sept. 6, one day before the season-opening loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The NFL granted the Browns a two-week roster exemption for Judkins before he had to be placed on the active roster.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski had said they will use the next 24 hours to decide whether he will play against the Ravens.

"He has done a nice job," Stefanski said. "He's done everything we've asked him to do up to this point. […] I do think he's in good shape and I thought he did a nice job with this week."

Judkins spent the first two years of college at Ole Miss, where he totaled 545 carries for 2,725 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns. In addition, he also had 37 receptions for 281 receiving yards and three touchdowns. During his freshman year in 2022, Judkins led the SEC with 274 carries, 1,567 rushing yards, and 16 rushing touchdowns.

He then transferred to Ohio State for the 2024 season, where he recorded 194 carries for 1,060 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. He also added 22 receptions for 161 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Judkins has a clear path toward grabbing a starting running back job as a rookie. There are only two other running backs currently on the roster: Jerome Ford, Dylan Sampson, and Raheim Sanders.
