WWE Renames Mariah May During Tuesday's Episode of 'NXT' originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The mystery surrounding Mariah May's WWE name is now over.

May made her surprising debut for WWE during the June 3 episode of "NXT." The former AEW World Champion made it clear that her goal is to challenge Jacy Jayne for the "NXT" Women's Championship.

During May's debut, WWE didn't reveal her name. Instead, commentators Vic Joseph, Corey Graves, and Booker T referred to her as "The Glamor," which was May's nickname prior to making her WWE debut.

On Tuesday's episode of "NXT," a vignette for May played. In the video, May's new name was revealed. She is now called Blake Monroe.

A report from PWInsider first revealed the news of May's departure from AEW. It had been reported months prior that May was in her contract year, and the expectation was that she would eventually debut for WWE. Many within the industry are said to be surprised that the move happened this soon.

May's stock skyrocketed under the AEW banner. She first entered AEW with some buzz, given her work in Japan under the Stardom promotion. May ended up being involved in a key storyline on AEW TV with "Timeless" Toni Storm. "The Glamor" turned on her mentor and even defeated her to capture the AEW Women's World Championship.

Storm recaptured the gold from May during their title rematch at "Grand Slam Australia." Storm finished the feud by defeating May in a "Hollywood Ending" match at "AEW Revolution 2025." This ended up being May's final match for the company.
